June 2017 Wild and Crazy Month

Hello Everyone and Happy June. This is my birthday month which always makes me happy. I am having a day of fun in St. Helena mid June with friends. I have been making lots of changes in my life for the better - epiphanies, new ways of doing things, new ideas. As I have been hammering for years now, it's the time to reinvent ourselves. This month is an odd one in that it's a time to have a lot of fun. Laugh out loud as much a you can. It's also a time for DEEP introspection with Saturn telling us "you can do this, we can make it happen!"  Manifesting practical, grounded spaces in your life is more than possible, it's almost an imperative. ALL the planets have come to the Gemini party this month and are talking up a storm amongst themselves. It's a time to make things happen, make good changes, see a road ahead that you WANT to travel on. Hope is always eternal with a Gemini. The glass is almost always half full for me, never empty. I have a built in optimism that sustains me, and while the Sun shines in my sign, you can grab onto that optimism too. Yes, a lot of crap is still swirling around us, but must we wallow in it!?!?! What good does it do? None. Snap out of it and look for the good in your life. Get especially grateful now.  Surely something in your life is working. Do you have a bed to sleep in, food in the refrigerator, the lights work, your car runs, etc. Say THANK YOU to the Universe for your blessings, your gifts. And say prayers for those who don't have so much to be thankful for. In Unity we are strong. Love Ye One Another. And have a party. Socialize. Reconnect. Forgive.

The New Moon in Gemini was Thursday the 25th of May. Venus was squaring Pluto that day too, making it a time for change, and a power struggle at the same time. Venus is love and harmony, Pluto is power and dominance. Venus does not appreciate Pluto's dominant stance on so many things, while Pluto thinks Venus is rather useless but for her looks. It's not a happy pairing, and squaring makes them all the more contentious. This is when Power tramples on Harmony. What do you value Venus asks? Is Power really that attractive or is it just out of control? VALUE issues will be with us for several days. it's time to find your core values and cement them and live them in your life. Speak to power, whether it's a mean boss, a neighborhood jerk; a school yard bully. Pluto doesn't expect a punch back, so surprise him. It will create some new thought in both parties, and inside us. It's time to question, and find answers.

Mars is square Chiron (our wounded self) and Saturn (our Taskmaster). Mars is restless while Saturn keeps him down. It is TIME to fix ourselves, look at our pain, clear it away and renew ourselves. Face your demons, look them in the eye, and FORGIVE yourself and others and let it go. It's a new world being born, a new us being born. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE. Just do it and stop making it a bigger issue than it already is! I have learned to shift my focus and look at things from different angles and it helped me change. I have asked myself why I put up with doing so many things I don't want to do, and I am reprioritizing my life and my days.

On June 1st Mars is sextile the Leo North Node. Leo is pride, Leo is ego, Leo is King. The South Node is now in Aquarius, mankind. It is time to stop being sheep and become a King or Queen. If we all stood up to Power, it would collapse. It is our FEAR of being ourselves which lets them rule, and rule more poorly as time passes, because we hold them to no standards.
Time to stop being a mouse and find your voice, whether in your personal life or the public arena. Wimps are out, sheeps are out, personal power is IN. This lasts until June 7. Make it happen by then! So much is about to happen in the world, be ready for it by clearing out your "stuff" soon and quickly. Make the effort or be left behind.

On June 4 Mars moves into Cancer till July 21, not a happy place for Mars - Mr. Fire. How does water affect fire? You get the picture. We're going to have low energy, fights with family, political fights and generally feel cranky as a daily undercurrent, but Gemini Sun will counter that greatly, so when you feel grumpy or frustrated, just count your blessings.

On June 6 Mercury moves into Gemini, it's home. Our brains are on fire with life and spirit and action. Venus moves into Taurus on this day too its home too,  till July 6th​. Love is home, love is in the air, real love, the stable kind. Settle your disputes,  shower loved ones with gifts and flowers, make love and mean it, put some money away as you will probably make a little extra money. It's time to indulge in simple pleasures. Dinner and a long chat will seem like a slice of heaven.

Uranus also forms a perfect trine to the North Node in Leo. North Nodes are about Karma. North nodes are goals, destinies. South Nodes are old karma needing to be cleared up. Uranus teamed with the North Node is a time of epiphanies. See who you are with clear eyes. See where the changes need to be made, where the applause needs to happen. Being a unique individual, a role model, a leader is where we are headed. Roar like a Lion don't baaa like a sheep.

The 9th is a Full Moon in Sagittarius, the archer, the explorer, the adventurer and lover of learning. Ah but here comes Saturn conjunct those feelings with his tales of "be serious and slow paced" putting a damper on things.  Saturn and Moon square Neptune too, making us dizzy with conflicting emotions. Even though you want to gallop off to an adventure, better to wait a couple of days and formulate a good plan. It's also the time when Jupiter turns direct (yeah!). Good luck begins to flow again, progress toward the future unfolds. 

June 16th Neptune begins a retrograde journey. Neptune is home, in Pisces now. It's about spiritual awakening, and Pisces is the most emotional of the water signs. As other planets prepare to move into Cancer, the first water sign, we may feel emotionally overwhelmed for a few days, and if psychic, you may feel like you're being overwhelmed with input.

On June 21st, the Sun moves into Cancer, the Home. It's also the beginning of Summer! A change of seasons, mood and activities. But for the next month being with family and friends is very important, so plan get togethers and bond now.

 June 24th is a New Moon in Cancer - redecorate your home; clean out closets; call mom and dad; send granny some flowers; connect, re-establish relationships, more bonding. If you find yourself alone, ask yourself WHY? What in you cut the ties? Whatever the reason, this is a good time to try to mend fences and embrace your family, warts and all.

On June 25 trouble kicks in with Mars, Jupiter and Pluto not playing nice. Ego and self-righteousness can rise up and make big issues bigger. June 25 - 28 just lay low. This is a no winner situation. Just staying out of the fight is how you win here. Headlines may raise an eyebrow too. 

Don't forget that this summer is a recurrence of the Summer of Love. Fun times can be had. Artists in music, painting, movies, etc. can be very inspirational. Political push back is inevitable and riots and police vs the people will likely play out too. Be ready for all kinds of things. Lots of headlines. But don't forget the fun factor here. SOCIALIZE this summer. If you don't want to be out in crowds, throw parties at home. Otherwise get out there. Live. See the action in the streets, and go out there prepared. The 60's has been much maligned over the past decades, but I can tell you as someone who lived it, marched in it, reveled in the music and the art, and made lifelong friends in a cause to stop an immoral war, it was as good as it was bad, and people had courage and purpose. It wasn't all sex, drugs and rock and roll. People were committed. We were constantly told you can't fight City Hall, and found it to be one big lie. I was gassed by police in Chicago (It's an awful thing), pushed into window glass by police who knew we would be cut if it broke, watched a man in a wheel chair get bludgeoned by angry police as we were all being peaceful, a nun knocked to the ground right next to me. But we also saw the end of the draft; the right to vote at 18 vs 21; the changing of the nations minds about the war; a President have to back down to our will; and laws changed in lots of places for the Blacks, the Women's Movement and the Environment. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. But it's how you change things. And our work is now to change things again. So invest in yourself, invest in the activities this summer will offer, and write your congressman/woman - call, email, write actual letters, and get heard. Apathy has no place in the next few years. It's time to participate and change the world, while we change ourselves.
