I have been teaching meditation since 1973. I have taught thousands of people and have practiced Chakra Meditation for over four decades. While Meditation has suddenly become the latest cool thing to do to relax, REAL meditation is far more than that. Chakra Meditation stills the mind and brings a less stressed life, while also raising your energetic vibrations to facilitate true spiritual grown and awakening. Sitting quietly for 5 minutes is not meditation. Focused breathing is also not meditation. Chakra Meditation is the real deal. Meditation is about balancing your 7 energy centers so you feel grounded and calm.
You find a focus word, focus for 10 minutes, then let your mind wander for 10-40 minutes. The second part brings in more energy so you feel stronger. Each meditation grows your energy and balances your chakra's so you live in harmony and balance with lots of energy reserves and a good attitude.
Meditation means “being still”. The purpose of being still 20-60 minutes per day is to focus on yourself and “listen” to your gut instincts, or intuition, while aligning the energy in your body. When you truly meditate you also give your body a kind of a nap. 30 minutes of meditation is equivalent to a 2 hour nap.
Meditation is a discipline with protocol and a commitment to doing it daily just like physical exercise. Chakra Meditation works to alleviate stress, bring a sense of well being, lowers blood pressure and heart rates; and boosts your immune system. The additional benefit is a greater sense of Mindfulness. Your heart opens to others; you want to live in truth and speak truth; your ability to see things coming into your life, the good and the bad, is like enhancing your gut instincts and gives you a sense you are aware of for additional info besides sight, smell, sound and touch. And lastly it helps you connect to Spirit in a day to day way of walking together. You have a sense of being nurtured, being safe, being calm and feeling content. This is true meditation and will change your life on so many levels.

You can take classes from me for more in-depth learning, or use these instructions and spread the word about meditation. This is a unique meditation, created to work well for the lay person, not a cloistered monk. If you have tried meditations like TM and never got the results you expected, you will find this method does work because of the closing down feature.
1. Take three slow, deep breaths, exhaling to the base of your spine, and feel yourself relaxing.
2. Sit with your spine erect and your hands clasped together for ten minutes.
3. Concentrate on one thing and bring your mind gently back to that focus when it wanders.
4. After 10 minute or so, take a slow deep breath and open your palms face up in your lap.
5. Let your mind wander from thought to thought for 10-40 minutes. When you linger too long or day dream, let it go and move onto the next thought.
6. When you are done, wrap yourself in white light and close your palms into fists and sit there until you feel protected and safe.
7. Say your affirmations and bring good things to you.
